I studied Architecture at Sheffield University and the University of East London completing my Diploma with Commendation in 1995. I worked for several practices in London before moving to Stroud in 2005.

At Sergison Bates I worked on a wide range of building types, most notably the Paint Factory mixed use development in Wandsworth and a number of residential schemes for new Islington and Hackney Housing Association.

In 2001 I joined Long and Kentish architects where I was Project Architect for Colin St John Wilson's widely acclaimed extension to Grade 1 listed Pallant House in Chichester. The scheme was a complex mix of conservation sensitivity, state of the art gallery design and innovative renewable technology. The building has won a number of awards, including the Gulbenkian award for Museums and Galleries 2005.

Before forming my own practice in 2009 I was an associate in a local architect's practice in Stroud, where I was involved in a variety of building types, including newbuild and refurbishment church projects, a competition-winning environmental centre in Essex and feasibility proposals for an arts development at the Five Valleys Foyer and Star Anise in Stroud.
